John + Simon’s Tanque Verde Guest Ranch Wedding
We only met John + Simon virtually prior to Tanque Verde Guest Ranch wedding but we fell in love with them anyway. Their love for each other was palpable from all the way across the Atlantic and through the cables of the interwebs. We couldn’t wait to meet them in real life.
When the day of the wedding came we listened to the Lemonade album all the way to the venue and I sang Freedom at the top of my lungs, feeling the lyrics tear through me like they were my own. It was a nice release and left me feeling a deep sense of peace as we pulled into the venue. With a quiet mind a quote from A Course in Miracles kept ringing in my head: “God made you perfect and he’s happy with you.” My usual pre wedding jitters, feelings of insecurity and anxiety were nowhere to be found. To say this was an unusual day for me is the understatement of the year. 🙂 I was Free, at Peace and Perfect.
I could see clearly. Feel truly. And love easily. This must be what heaven feels like.
John + Simon and their friends and family were the perfect recipients of my quiet mind and open heart. They soaked up my love and reflected it back. It was a total love fest. Here are our favorite photos from John + Simon’s magical Tanque Verde Guest Ranch Wedding:John + Simon fresh, dressed, lookin’ like a million bucks. Let’s do this. 😉Simon’s parents are German. Obviously we loved them. And the parasol. And the belt buckle. What’s not to love!?!?Guests begin to arrive at the ceremony.
Greeted with prickly pear margaritas. Keepin’ it Tucson. Tanque Verde Guest Ranch backs up to Saguaro National Monument East. Views for days. Here come the Grooms!Simon’s mom’s view of John promising his heart to her son. Lots of tears in the audience including those of John’s sister.
Sealed with a kiss. Fascinating German tradition. Two married dudes and a dude from the dude ranch.
Simon’s mom brought the cake topper all the way from Germany. It was a hit. Limoncello shots. 😉Fun with rock candy.
